The Raleigh Arts Festival, supported by North Carolina (NC) government, is the first and the longest arts festival in Raleigh history. Since its launch in April 1980, numerous outdoor programs and large-scale holiday activities have been performed in the festival, and it attracted thousands of both well-known and new visual artists, performing artists and multifield artists to gather there. So far, the festival has 37 successful editions. Every year in May, thousands of local people and tourists fill in the center of Raleigh city. Now the festival has become the famous cultural holiday in NC and it is the name card of the city.
